Has anyone stayed at the Pelican Beach and Terrace Resorts in Destin, Fl?

What was your experience at this condo? My wife, 11 yr old dtr and myself are driving there this 4th of July weekend and I was hoping for any information and advice. What are some of the good value restaurants near this condo? Which beaches nearby are the least crowded? How about shopping and entertainment? Thank you very much!
